Techlift Accelerates Its Growth with the Acquisition of Equipements EMU
Drummondville, September 30, 2025 – A major player in Quebec since 2006, Techlift, a forklift and handling equipment dealer, is taking a decisive step in its growth with the acquisition of Equipements EMU, a Quebec flagship established in 1983.
Through this transaction, Techlift is expanding its network and strengthening its ability to serve customers across Quebec. The company's team will double, with more than 230 employees, including nearly 100 field technicians, spread across nine branches to provide local service and meet customer needs even more effectively. Techlift has now established itself as the largest independent dealer in Quebec in the material handling industry.
Techlift's service offering, which already includes the sale of new and used equipment, rentals, and a comprehensive after-sales service, is now enhanced with the warehouse development support service (storage systems, loading dock equipment, and space optimization) currently offered by Équipements
EMU.
Techlift will also deploy the Heli brand of forklifts and equipment in all of the network's new branches. Heli models, the world's largest forklift manufacturer in terms of units in 2024-2025, have been Techlift's flagship products for 20 years now, due to their high availability, reliability, and low total cost of ownership.
