Vehicle Restraint Safety System - RVR32

The RVR32 vehicle restraint system is a raised, front-mounted, above-ground system. The front extension bar provides an operating range of 23 cm (9 in) to 63 cm (25 in) in height. The rotating steel hook provides a restraint capacity of 14,500 kg (32,000 lb). The deeper hook profile increases the size of the rear impact bars (RIG) that can be engaged. The hook shape also reduces stress on the restraint and RIG by distributing it more evenly. Restraint hook activation is provided by a hydraulic cylinder. The hydraulic circuit incorporates a relief valve to protect the drive components from shock and loads. This restraint is submersible, offers an extreme temperature range, and can use a standard hydraulic power pack when combined with a hydraulic dock leveler. The spring-loaded trolley automatically adjusts to trailer movement and maintains contact with the vehicle's rear guard. A high-visibility two-way communication system ensures communication between the dock attendant and the truck driver.
